We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Our guide first met us by the Carlo Goldoni statue, and led us to the water bus depot she was knowledgeable and gave us information on daily water-bus tickets. We arrived at the Murano Glass Factory island, and was greeted by our factory guide, Silvia. Again she was excellent and led us to workshop to make glass souvenirs before watching the Master Glass-blower. After the demonstration, we strolled through many displays of Murano glass items for purchase…which we did! A few small momentos to bring home of Murano Glass! A good value for a quick tour.

The tour was good, but I have done other glass blowing tours that were much better. We took a water taxi over to Murano not included in the cost of the tour, which was nice. When we got there we watched the glass master create 2 pieces, one of which was very quickly. It was quite impressive actually. Than we went to the workshop where you used glass beads made at the factory to create a keychain, bracelet, or set of earrings. It was neat, but slightly childish at the same time. After you were finished you could walk through the shop. I kinda felt like the actual glass blowing demonstration was very short and rushed, but it was a nice day and a good way to get to see some of the other islands.

The guide was poorly prepared and I gave it two stars only because I enjoyed making the bracelet. What a rip-off tour!

Excellent! We met our first tour guide in central Venice, who guided us from the water taxi ride to Murano and to the glass factory. A gentleman greeted us, talked us through the glass blowing demonstration and answered questions. Next, we were greeted by Silvia and guided to the workshop where we made bracelets with Murano glass beads. Great self-made souvenir from our trip! Both the tour guide and Murano glass factory staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, interesting, fun and also learn about the history of Murano!
