With mountains, bush plains and expansive tropical forests, the African wilderness is all packed into the large area of the Kruger National Park. Hundreds of animals make this naturally abundant place their home. A tour of the park is an opportunity to go back in time, to a place where all living things roam wild and free.
Established in 1926, Kruger is Africa’s most famous park. But with so much space, you’ll feel like it’s just you and the animals! Choose between a private, curated group tour and a classic safari. Both are fantastic!

Times
On most multi-day safaris you’ll be spending your nights languishing in accommodation on the Kruger National Park property. So you never leave the sanctuary, and wake up to see animals roaming around outside your window! The park officially opens at 6 am. This is when you can begin to tour every morning – when the sun begins to rise.
Monday – Friday: 6am – 5:30pm
Saturday – Sunday: 6am – 5:30pm
Best time to go
Kruger National Park is a great all-year-round destination. Summer, spring and autumn are all great times to go, with minimal rainfall and hot, pleasant days. Winter is Kruger’s dry season, making it even better for those who don’t want any chance of rain. This is during the April to September period.
Environmental safety on Kruger Safari Tours
Kruger Safaris are carefully set up to impact minimally on the surrounding wildlife. Vehicles drive slowly and are always under the control of a licensed, professional guide with a full understanding of animal behaviors. This way, both the animals and you are safe and happy.
Your guide will go over some basic rules before you start your tour. These include not making very loud noises or trying to excite or scare the animals, and keeping your personal belongings and rubbish in the vehicle. These ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved.

Wonderful experience…only regret was with our 3day/2 night package we arrived at the treehouse area after dark and only had 1 hour in the morning to see the the sight. We expected 2 nights I. The treehouses so would have had time to see the aremin the light.

Excellent hotel (right next to Kruger Gate entrance to park) and terrific tour guide Andrew! 3 days of high-quality safari: we saw the big five all in the same day.
