Rainbow Mountain is a geological wonder formed by environmental conditions and sedimentary deposits over time. And the only way to take in the gorgeous view is by going on a Rainbow Mountain tour.

GetYourGuide traveler –
It’s an excellent tour to this mountain. Amazing views and worth every penny of it. Totally recommend the earliest tour like 4 am. There will be few people when you arrive. If you are going late there are like thousand people and you won’t have opportunities to take a good picture. For the cheap people please spare few dollars and take a horse Uber. Trust me you thanks me later.
Daniel_K –
The experience was great. Was explained how to operate the ATV and the hand signals that will be used. Fully recommend this option when seeing Rainbow Mountain. Be sure to bring sunglasses and pay extra at the Mountain to finish the climb by motorcycle ride.
Natalja_S –
Amazing experience! It was so much fun riding ATV’s and the views were amazing! It was very well organised and we had such a blast! I would recommend to everyone!
Olivia_Z –
Wowww, what an amazing tour, very challenging but definitely worth doing as long as you are well acclimatized. Willy – our GREAT tour guide was very patient and helpful. He knew I was struggled and he offered to help me carry my backpack. He was really taking caring of the entire group, making sure that we could all make it safe. Willy needs extra credits for the difficult and challenging job he does practically everyday. Big credits to the driver -Oliver – very careful driver. This road is not easy, very winding and a bit scary – Olivier brought us safely back home. Please do not forget to tip the guys to appreciate hard work they do. I like the idea to start the tour at 9am – this really makes sense as you can get enough of sleep and once you arrive to the Rainbow Mountain, all crowds are gone and the mountain is entirely for you. Lunch on the way back was delicious and very rich. Communication with Edwin – General Manager was great. I was informed about the pick up and all important things to consider and take with me. I fully recommend “Peru Private Tours”. And now the most important – PLEASE do not underestimate the altitude. The mountain looks easy on the photos but the altitude can be a killer – please for the sake of yourself, the tour guide and the entire group, make sure you are well acclimatized – otherwise you risk terrible altitude sickness and danger to your life which was the case in our group (a young guy who has just arrived to Cusco was terribly ill, needed oxygen and he was vomiting all the way back). If you are ready, just book the tour and enjoy it!
