The Palace of Versailles is open six days a week between 9 am and 5:30 pm. All tours include full-day access to the palace and its grounds. The park is open every day, but for first-time visitors, we suggest you don’t go on a Monday, as most of the palace is closed.

Sehr nette Führung (Galina). Totales Gedränge im Schloss. Wir hatten Glück und eine 2-Personen-Führung mit einer charmanten Touristenführerin namens Galina, die sich sogar mehr Zeit nahm als wohl andere und auch ordentlich Wissen vermittelte. Ein Wermutstropfen war, dass wir uns um 14:30 getroffen haben, trotz langer Schlange relativ zügig durch die Sicherheitsschleuse kamen und dann am Eingang für vorangemeldete Gruppen trotzdem noch 15 Minuten warten mussten, obwohl wir nur drei waren incl. Guide. Das lag allerdings am Museums-personal Das Gedränge im Schloss selbst bzw. In den Räumen, durch die geführt wurde, war groß und es war sehr warm und stickig. Leider gab es relativ wenig zu sehen (das große Appartement des Königs und den Spiegelsaal). Trotzdem bekam man einen Eindruck des damaligen Prunks. Die Gärten, durch die man dann größtenteils alleine muss oder darf, sind wirklich toll! Gemessen an den Pariser Preisen alles in allem eine gelungene Tour, da Versailles halt einfach sehenswert ist.
