Our tour was absolutely perfect and we got to hang out with the sweetest tour guide ever, BilliJo. She was so enthusiastic and fun! She kept us smiling and excited about each site with how she told her stories. The cemetery was a bit wet, but she kept us on a nice path to all the sites.

Came to town for a business trip and decided to catch this tour while in town. Highly recommend! Our tour guide was great, shared a wealth of information and tied both the history of the city and that of the cemetery and burial practices together perfectly. The cemetery was crowded with tour groups but still very much worth it!

Sandi was a delight! She was a wealth of historical New Orleans knowledge. We appreciated her honesty and truth in sharing the history of her culture, the cemetery and NOLA. Our group thoroughly enjoyed her tour.

The tour lasted about 1-1/2 hrs very informative. She had a strong accent which she stated in the beginning. You had to listen carefully. She added a bit of humor Marta was her name I believe.

Trying to walk down a busy sidewalk and listen to what our guide was saying was impossible. A open air vehicle or small bus would of been perfect. Long walk back by ourselvs.

We would have appreciated less information about Trevor, and more information about what we were seeing. The cemetery itself was so crowded with tours, we only saw a few crypts. What he did tell us was interesting and informative, just not enough and it was irritating to have him testing his stand-up routine on us.

Spent 90% of tour on Marie Laveau and very little on French Quarter. Guide stated we’d go back to FQ after some other things , but we never did. Somewhat disappointing.

This is absolutely a MUST SEE for anyone visiting NOLA for the first time if you have a passion for history, cemeteries, voodoo, or any other spooky vibes going on. It was my first time, and I’m really glad I did this cemetery tour because I learned so much and saw so many different types of ovens, not to mention Marie Leveau’s and Nicholas Cage’s for future use, of course. The only thing I would change would be the meet-up options because the cemetery was literally right behind my hotel, yet I had to make my way all the way down to the Mississippi river, just to be driven back to the cemetery.

While the tour itself appeared to be rich in history and very interesting to look at and speculate… our tour guide fell way short of a good tour. First, the detail of where and when to meet was simply “in the french quarter” . It took some searching for actual meeting spot. Second, our tour guide seemed more interested in filling us in on the shooting of NCIS: New Orleans than the history we were about to see. Finally while in the cemetery we were given detail on 3-4 tombs, while being told more about how she had grown up in New Orleans as a white lady and was authentic, while others were not… I felt like I was on tour with my babbling grandmother; lots of opinions and self indulged stories, light on the facts and history. The company however, had great transportation, and great driver. I will have to admit that after taking a tour from Jonathan Weiss the night before… his tour would be hard to beat, no matter the guide.

I haven’t been on a ghost walk before and didn’t know quite what we would be getting! I really enjoyed this tour – our guide had obviously done his research, and his stories didn’t feel like “patter” that he was just repeating over and over. Some of the stories covered difficult issues, and he treated them, and the dead, with respect, whilst still managing to inject a sense of fun into the evening. I would highly recommend this tour company (Witches Brew) – we were so impressed with the ghost tour, we went back and did the cemetary tour as well.
