The best time for a Kruger National Park day visit is between April and September, during the region’s dry season. The weather is pleasant and you won’t likely experience rain. However, Kruger is a great year-round destination, and you can enjoy going at any time of year. The animals don’t disappear just because it’s raining!

In order to properly maintain the Park, Sanparks conservation fees are asked from all Kruger National Park day visitors. The rate differs for South African citizens and international tourists, but the standard fare is USD $26.
Some tours include the cost of Kruger National Park prices in their own tour price but many do not. Be sure to check when choosing your package!

Our guide Edward was fantastic, knowledgeable and a good communicator! We had a fantastic day. Edward collected us at 5.15am and we were in the Kruger Park when they opened at 6.00 am. We saw a buffalo within minutes and then Elephants and a Rhino within 30 minutes (3 of the big 5). Cats proved harder to find but we saw a lioness crossing the road by and then a group of lionesses with cubs by midday. Then in the afternoon we saw 4 young lions eating a buffalo kill, lots of Elephants crossing the road in front of us and much more. No leopard today, but who cares? I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Wonderful!! Bernard is the best guide. He bent over backwards to make the best of it for us. And the whole experience was wonderful. One down from the bucket list

The guide Elvis is the best! We had an amazing day with our guide Elvis! He was funny, well spoken and he knew a lot about the animals! He was so passionated about his job as a ranger, that we couldn’t stop asking questions. Before 09.00 we saw 4/5 of the big five! Many conversations, good driver and a lot of fun! Ask for Elvis! Thank you a lot 🙂
