Paola –
The outing was quite good, especially Contoy Island, but the meal was bland and sad. In addition, in the bus or van that made the transfer, the tourists were not masked and it was probably on this occasion that we caught the Covid. The least we can do is impose the mask on everyone, moreover in an air-conditioned van and now we know the things to avoid. I regret having agreed to get on the bus..

Good excursion, privileged to be able to visit Isla Contoy (island restricted in number of tourists) magnificent island, if not the most beautiful in Mexico, having done Isla Cozumel and Holbox and Murejes. The guides are very friendly, multilingual and take the time to answer your questions. Unfortunately the snorkeling was not great due to the lack of visibility, but that must depend on the weather. A little boat time between Isla Mujeres and Contoy (1 hour) quite hectic for us, can be unpleasant if you get seasick. Breakfast at the port which consists of a juice, cakes and fruit, unlimited drink on board with or without alcohol, meal on Isla Contoy very good.

Isla contoy is really beautiful, a real little paradise. We don't want to leave the beach at all. The stop at isla mujeres is quick but we liked this holiday atmosphere, and the shops are very affordable if you want to bring back souvenirs. There was a lot of wind, so current at the time of snorkeling. Is that why we saw almost no fish? It's still quite a budget despite everything; I recommend if you are around Cancun, but if, like us, you are on the side of Tulum, know that we had 2 hours of bus to go and 2 hours to return from Akumal. I admit that I still find it difficult today to know if “the game is worth the candle”…
