The trip was cool. At first, it was cancelled because I was only the one person, but than luckily two persons booked it as well. So it was only three of us. We had a very nice trip with great guide. Everything was prepared professionally. I enjoyed very beautiful views of Clifton Beach, the boat trip, the seals, the Cape of Good Hope and Boulder’s Beach. In addition, it was very comfortable to drive a Mercedes C250.

We booked this excursion with Downhill Adventures. Our guide for the day was James. He was really helpful, explained the day and what we could expect and showed us the sites and local information on our way to the dunes and on the way to the quad biking. We stopped at a lovely farm shop before we set off to get some supplies which are well worth having so you have some snacks and extra drinks that you might need. Drinks were also supplied but with being out in the dunes its always worth having more. The whole day was just amazing. We had so much fun sandboarding on the dunes. I have never done this before and I wasn’t totally sure I would do it standing up but we had the best guide to show us what to do which made me feel confident enough. We also did a tandom slide sitting down which was so much fun. We laughed loads, learned how to sandboard and just had a really fun time. This is a really worthwhile activity to do when you are in Cape Town or surrounding. It is tiring walking up the dunes so do be prepared for feeling tired and breathless. But it was totally worth it. James also provided a shade cover which was very much needed as you are in the open elements and it was a very hot day. Suncream before you go is a must! The quadbiking was great fun and we got to try out lots of different paths and routes. It did feel like it went on forever but it was really good fun.We also go to see some great views of Table Mountain from the other side.We had a really great day and can’t thank Jams enough for all his care, attention, help and humour. I would highly recommend this to all!

Atlantis is such a cool place. I still can’t believe how white the sand is, never seen anything like it before.
I really enjoyed riding the bikes around the dunes, really shows you the immense scale of the place. You feel really small at the top of some of the bigger dunes.
