Best Time to Go

Since it’s open to the public for such a short time, Keukenhof opening hours are always busy. This, however, is not a problem due to its massive size. It just means you’ll want those skip-the-line tickets so that you don’t have to stand in lines half the day.

If you want to avoid the crowds, visit Keukenhof when it opens, or in the late afternoon. Watching the sunset over the tulips is also a breathtaking sight! We also recommend you go on a weekday, as weekends are significantly busier.

Keukenhof Gardens Tickets

Explore the Garden of Europe on a tour starting from Amsterdam or The Hague. It’s a unique and impressive place, with much to see! We’ve found the two best ways to experience Keukenhof Park, one of the most interesting places to see in Holland.

Keukenhof Fast-Track with Transport Tickets

Enjoy fast transport and skip the lines to Keukenhof Gardens! This ticket is a fantastic option for those who want to enjoy the exquisite Dutch bulb fields without worrying about organizing anything. It’s entirely flexible, as you can catch any of the buses heading back to Amsterdam or The Hague, making it ideal for couples and families.

Stroll through the vast fields of flowers, taking in about 7 million flowers spreading out to the horizon! You can also picnic on the edge of the lake under trees or in the sunshine, enjoying these idyllic spring days.

You can spend the whole day here, or just a few hours. This means these skip-the-line tickets are also ideal for those who can only spare a few hours in their Holland itineraries. When it comes to the gardens – that fast-track entrance will save you plenty of time.

Positive side, yes you do skip the line. And that the bus comes every half an hour and you can go back any time. I booked this tour because it was flexible. I could do a little shopping after returning from this trip and be at the airport in time. Bus (now the negative) was half an hour late to arrive at the first place and then on the way back it was 45 mins late. This left no time for me to do anything esle other than go to airport. Totally ruined my schedule. I didnt even have time to complain at their desk. Once i was there, we could only see the flower fields from faaaar away. And i wish they had told us that there are not enough flowers yet. It was not worth the time and money. It was not even worth the pictures.

Well organised easy half day trip to the gardens. It was fairly quiet so was really no need for a ‘skip the line’ ticket. We were a bit rushed (our fault) so only spent 2 hours in the gardens, but felt we’d covered a lot of it. Really not to be missed if you like gardens & Tulips. The displays of gerbera & orchids were outstanding.

Keukenhof is a wonder , but I suggest that one has to visit Amsterdam in April not May to see the flower fields in full bloom as the fields were green without flowers .

Return time to Amsterdam was expected to be 14:30 however that time was actually the planned departure time from the Gardens. The estimated return time to Amsterdam at the final drop-off location should be included in the tour description.

Much fun. Only 4 stars because the tulips were not up. I'd still highly recommend the tour.

It was the most beautiful place to be. The flowers were breath taking and I brought home the most wonderful pictures, besides ordering bulbs that will be harvested this summer and planted this fall.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It was simply beautiful and cannot be missed! However, if I could change one thing it would be to allow an hour more to really meander on your own. There simply was not enough time to enjoy such a beautiful place!

Very good trip. Maybe not the best time for us to visit as was a cold and a rainy day. They do have indoors pavilions where they have so many amazing displays, so you can stay dry, away of the rain and take your time exploring . Would be really worth it to visit maybe at the end of April , beginning of May. We had a good time , enjoying the beautiful gardens despite the rain. I think it worth checking the weather before you book the tickets so you can enjoy the beauty of the place.

Convenient trip for us, as we were staying at a Hotel couple of blocks away from the bus rendezvous point in The Hague. 10 minute walk Tour guide was very informative on the way to Keukenhof, the garden itself was spectacular, all sorts of vibrant colors. It was a very nice day, well worth it. Hope they have more tours from The Hague to Amsterdam and surrounding attractions, although it's relatively easy to take the train from The Hague to Amsterdam which is fun also, unless you have to that every day as a commuter.

The Gardens are gorgeous and it was well worth a visit! The bus driver and tour guide, Harold, made the process of getting to the gardens easy. I don't think it was clear from the description that we only had 2 1/2 hours to visit the gardens. The tour is advertised as being 7 hours, but I believe it is 7 hours from absolute beginning to end. Our bus was half full with visitors who were picked up in Rotterdam when it picked us up in The Hague around 11am. By the time we got to the gardens at 12:00 we were told to be back at the bus at 2:15 for departure back to The Hague and Rotterdam. In 2 1/2 hours we were not able to see all that we wanted, so we decided to take local transportation back to The Hague which was a little difficult to figure out, but it was well worth the extra time in the gardens. We called the tour company to cancel our ride back to The Hague, and that was easy to do. The woman on the phone assured us that she would let Harold know. I just wish the description was more specific about the time actually spent in the gardens. If I would have know it was only 2 1/2 hours, I would have figured transportation out ahead of time which was cheaper. Since the length of the tour was listed as 7 hours, I assumed we had about 5 hours at the gardens. The tour information gives no hint about the 7 hours being from Rotterdam pick up until Rotterdam drop off. Just wish that would have been more clear by the description.

Overall a good day out. It was a pity that we did not go in early April when the tulips would have been in full bloom and also the surrounding fields would have been a mass of colour. Will have to plan another visit in April.
