Keukenhof is only open for 60 days of the year, from late March to mid-May. In 2020, the exact opening dates are 21 March – 10 May.

Best Time to Go
Since it’s open to the public for such a short time, Keukenhof opening hours are always busy. This, however, is not a problem due to its massive size. It just means you’ll want those skip-the-line tickets so that you don’t have to stand in lines half the day.

Positive side, yes you do skip the line. And that the bus comes every half an hour and you can go back any time. I booked this tour because it was flexible. I could do a little shopping after returning from this trip and be at the airport in time. Bus (now the negative) was half an hour late to arrive at the first place and then on the way back it was 45 mins late. This left no time for me to do anything esle other than go to airport. Totally ruined my schedule. I didnt even have time to complain at their desk. Once i was there, we could only see the flower fields from faaaar away. And i wish they had told us that there are not enough flowers yet. It was not worth the time and money. It was not even worth the pictures.

Well organised easy half day trip to the gardens. It was fairly quiet so was really no need for a ‘skip the line’ ticket. We were a bit rushed (our fault) so only spent 2 hours in the gardens, but felt we’d covered a lot of it. Really not to be missed if you like gardens & Tulips. The displays of gerbera & orchids were outstanding.

Keukenhof is a wonder , but I suggest that one has to visit Amsterdam in April not May to see the flower fields in full bloom as the fields were green without flowers .
