The Kruger National Park opens at dawn, allowing you to see the animals as they feed and begin their day. The tours include a full day at the park, and you’ll leave before nightfall.
Monday – Friday: 6am – 5:30pm
Saturday – Sunday: 6am – 5:30pm
Best time to go
The best time for a Kruger National Park day visit is between April and September, during the region’s dry season. The weather is pleasant and you won’t likely experience rain. However, Kruger is a great year-round destination, and you can enjoy going at any time of year. The animals don’t disappear just because it’s raining!

In order to properly maintain the Park, Sanparks conservation fees are asked from all Kruger National Park day visitors. The rate differs for South African citizens and international tourists, but the standard fare is USD $26.

My boyfriend and I booked a full day safari. The Kruger National Park is stunning! Our guide Gaven was fantastic. He knew where to drive and told us a lot about the animals. He could answer any question and tried really hard to find the big five for us. We saw lions, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, monkeys, buffalos, different kind of bocks, turtles and even a little crocodile. My boyfriend and I would rate both 5 stars each 🙂

Ótimo tour, porém exaustivo O guia foi excelente explicando não só sobre cada animal, como também sobre a história das cidades pelas quais passamos no caminho. Se esforçou para encontrarmos e fotografamos a maior quantidade de animais possíveis dentro das 5 horas de game. Entretanto saímos de Joanesburgo e 5 horas de distância da reserva. Ficar dentro da van por 15 horas foi exaustivo
