When arrived I tried to check in 10 mins prior to the departure time and No One wanted to check my husband's and I in. They talked among themselves but no one would let me know if we were checked in or not. Finally, a young man asked 2 tour guides if they wanted to take us on the their carriage and they flat out refused. They young man said he had just gotten back from a tour. It was a VERY uncomfortable situation and I even would say racist moment. The young man finally gave in and took us on the tour a little after 5pm when it was supposed to start and we returned back 20 mins til 6pm but we paid for an hour. We are highly disappointed and feel obligated to share this experience with friends and family. Especially with my network, one huge one being my sorority sisters who were in town 2 weeks ago for a conference, a group of 16,000+. I don't know what that was about but it made us feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable.

Cole(mule) was hardworking and so enjoyable and Carl(guide) was good too. Cole was amazing at smoothly guiding us through the streets among the pedestrians and traffic. And Carl was entertaining with his knowledge of New Orleans history and folklore It was a fun, relaxing evening activity that I would do again the next time I am in New Orleans.

I don't remember the guides name but his horse was Cole. They both did a great job showing us around and telling some great stories. I would love to take this tour again when I come back to visit. Our teenagers LOVED the tour!

The tour was a very nice relaxing way to view the city. They talked about previous ghost siting, but nothing scary. The tour was everything I expected.

Our haunted night carriage tour was absolutely amazing!!!!!!! I think our tour guides name was matt (beard/Caucasian gentlemen) … He was phenomenal!!! He told many really spooky stories about the homes in and around the French Quarter. He even gave his own haunted experiences that made him a true believer! This company is very lucky to have such a wonderful guide. He even accommodated my mom who has hearing issues to ensure that she had a great time. If I could give more stars I would! 🙂

The tour was fun and informative. The guide was funny and very friendly. Pointing out some very interesting facts that I never heard about the city. A must do if you are visiting the city especially for the first time.

The carriage tour was cool. Desire, the mule, had personality. Unfortunately, we were sitting in the back so couldn’t hear a few things that were said throughout the tour. We got to see a few cool things on the tour. It started raining towards the end but we powered through the last few minutes.

We were tired of walking tours and this was a refreshing change. Our tour guide Mike R. was informative and fun, not annoying like some guides. We loved touring the city and cemetary with him and Langiappe.

Enjoyed our carriage ride around the French Quarter with Lucy and her Mule, Marie. We needed a little rest from the previous day where we walked 9 miles. This was a great way to experience the Quarter. We chose the optional cemetery tour. Can’t visit New Orleans without a cemetery visit. Lucy was great and gave us little stories about the areas we visited.

Emily was delightful and provided non-stop information. We asked many questions and she had ready answers. This tour was worth the extra money for a private ride as it felt so up-close and personal. Please choose Royal Carriages when in New Orleans.

Interesting and fun!! We had a great time and the tour was very interesting. Loved our horse (who thought some times she was headed back in for the night and when we would go to turn away from her “home” route, she copped a cute little attitude and slowed down her pace lol). Great tour guide and interesting!!
