Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, was first built in 1030 by Viking king Sitruic Silkenbeard and has been rebuilt several times since then. This grand attraction is located in central Dublin and is easy to spot thanks to its Gothic-inspired exterior.
The 10-foot crypt is the longest in Ireland and hosts a vast array of historical artifacts. The royal plate was given to Christ Church Cathedral by King William III in 1699. The gift was given in celebration of the king’s victory over James II and marked the restoration of Protestantism in Ireland and Britain.
The rare 14th-century Magna Carta Hiberniae also resides within the crypt of Christ Church Cathedral. The Magna Carta is an important historical text that documents Ireland during the 14th century. Another amazing building that’s full of history and worth a visit is the Oxford cathedral, which is also an Anglican church in the University of Oxford, England.

The crypts are amazing, the cathedral is beautiful. And the whole booking process was easy. I had some trouble downloading the city guides, but the staff answered in a very short time and delivered the necessary information.

There are so many highlights of our customized walking tour, it’s hard to mention them all. Our tour guide, Garvan, was reliable, polite, punctual, and professional. He proactively contacted me prior to our scheduled tour to confirm our pick up time and review our preferred itinerary. The purpose of our tour was to learn about Dublin and orient my son to the area since he is considering going to Trinity University. Garvan met us at the hotel and took us on a very informative three hour walking tour. He is gifted at turning historical events into riveting and entertaining stories; capturing our attention the whole time. My son and I learned so much about historical buildings that most people would just pass by without a second thought. We also gained a couple of nuggets of trivia along the way. For example, did you know that you could walk Dublin’s city center in about 20 minutes? It is very condensed compared to most urban areas. Did you know that the average temperature year-round in Ireland is in the 50s (Fahrenheit)? Thanks Garvan, for a delightful tour!

This was a good way to see the city as well as giving yous access to main tourist spots. However, the ticket does give you access to Guinness tour and whiskey distillery its worth noting you do still have to book in directly with these places for a time slot. This wasnt made clear on purchase and when we arrived at each spot we had to spend time trying to make sure they had availability to allow us access! BOOK BEFORE YOU GO
