This was by far the worst of our tours that we booked in Paris. Our driver/guide was prompt in picking us up and provided good commentary on the many rooms of Versailles and the grounds. The issues were that we did not in fact receive the skip the line option that was promised. We had the same skip the line option for the Louvre, and Eiffel Tower, and they were wonderful. At Versailles we waited in a long line in the bitter cold before we could enter. Once inside the building we were so crowded we could hardly move. The thick crowd, bent on taking pictures of everything, just kind of pushed you out of the way to get what they wanted. It was very frustrating. This is of course was no fault of the guide. He did his best to provide information on what we were viewing, but it was hard to concentrate while being jostled by the crowd who was so interested in taking photos of everything that I do not believe they were really even seeing or appreciating what was in front of them. Very sad. Our guide said that there was a huge influx of tourist due to it being Chinese New Year, and local school holiday. Overall I was disappointed with what I thought would be one of the highlights of our trip.

We never would have been able to complete this tour without Vincent skillfully moving us along. Sunday is a madhouse, so was worth the money to do this, especially when you only have a few days in Paris.

This tour was excellent. We went on 1/2 day tour. My wife and I went in early December. The hotel pickup was right on time and the driver was very nice and knowledgeable. The tour is only 1.5 hours but we saw all the highlights. We only spent a short time in the gardens since it was windy and cold. The 1/2 day tour is plenty long in winter months, would probably do full day tour when the weather is warm.

The skip the line for general admission was worth the price of the tour. You couldn’t hear the guide at all times even w the headphones. But that was primarily because we would get a bit separated from the guide due to the crowds. Would still recommend

Was picked up on time from our hotel, was informed that they would be a little later than first booked but was on time. The trip to Versailles was informative with the driver showing us some of the Parisian sights on the way. Arrived at Versailles and was met by our tour operator who promptly took us into Versailles and once we were given our tickets she took us in and gave us head sets so that we could hear what she was telling us. She was very knowledgeable and interesting as she took us around the palace. We went for just the afternoon session but really needed a whole day day to be able to see the whole of the gardens which are massive. Once we had been taken around the palace by our tourer we were free to stay and look around the palace further, then Lyn the gardens. You can get a train from the gardens to take you further down the garden, the ques are long, you can also get a golf buggie to drive yourself again ques to get one and they are an extra cost for both of these. Versailles is very busy and lots and lots of people going around, so miss if you hate crowds, although the gardens give you relief from the crowds. Don’t let the crowds put you off going though as it was amazing afternoon and worth the trip. It is quite a way from the centre of Paris with a long drive. Do be very careful with your money and belongings in these Parisian attractions and around the out side of them as well. Can’t be more pleased with booking with this company

Having a van pick you up your hotel and return you at the end of the day was fantastic. Our tour guide, Laura (sp?), was wonderful. She was knowledgeable, helpful, and very personable. We chose the full day option with Gardens access, and you are picked up at 5pm rather than 2pm. It was worth it. I only wish we’d known about the golf cart rentals so we could have covered more ground in the Gardens. There are also bicycle and scooter rentals to help you cover more ground in the massive Gardens, and you can also take the Petit Train (a shuttle) to Marie Antoinette’s estate.

Excellent Guide…Need more time Oliver was an amazing guide and was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He had real passion for the history and we really enjoyed his narrative. Areas of improvement: start the tour earlier to give more time. This tour was extremely rushed. I would suggest doing the palace portion of the tour first, then go into the gardens where you can do your normal garden tour but then that would give us time to explore further on our own since this tour skips half of the gardens, which is the best part. Make sure to give all tour guests their train pass back so we can go back when we want. Another issue is when we signed up for this tour in December, the website said it was a bus ride to Versailles but we wound up taking the train, which was a bit of a commotion and not what we had paid for.

Tour was great Unfortunately this tour didn't start out great… No mention of my reservations that there was a building where we should meet. We arrived via train looking all around finally walked up the block and there is a tour company sign. (there was no mention of this) Gratefully we were well ahead of time. And all turned out well. We had only 5 people for tour we had paid for 6 had we found you office earlier we would have been able to sell out ticket to a man we met after he booked his tour.

Guide was terrific; however …………. Guide was terrific; however Versailles was very crowded so that was distracting, but we still were very glad we went! If you’re going to see the gardens, rent one of their golf carts. The gardens are so huge, you’ll never see a fraction of them if you’re walking. We rented one and we’re extremely glad we did! The opulence is hard to imagine, both in the furnishings and in the size.

Worth your while! This was a very well organized trip. Easy enough instructions to follow where to meet the guide. I had a much better appreciation of the Palace of Versailles because of the commentary by our tour guide Violet. There were 10 of us in our group. Not too big to be a crowd. We were met first Lily at the Museé de Orsay to take the train to Versailles and picked up again after the tour. I highly recommend this company.
