Culminating at Cape Point, this stretch of coastline has much to offer. From the pristine natural beauty seen in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve to the authentic South African culture experienced in the quaint town of Kalk Bay.

Many of the tours start at Camps Bay Beach before moving further down the Atlantic Coast towards Cape Point. Sit back and enjoy the view as you travel along one of the country’s most beautiful roads, sandwiched between Table Mountain and some of the best beaches in Cape Town.

The views never end en route to Cape Point. From Table Mountain’s 12 Apostles, over Chapman’s Peak Drive, and past Misty Cliffs, you are absolutely spoiled with splendid scenery. Snap a shot of the rocky terrain cascading dramatically into the Atlantic Ocean.

Once you reach Cape Point, you will have the chance to explore the Good Hope Nature Reserve. A stop at Boulders Beach, made famous by the local penguin colony that calls it home, is essential. Get up close and personal with these rather cheeky birds.

The tours will take you through the small yet culturally rich beach towns of Simon’s Town, Kalk Bay, and Muizenberg. A stop in one of these towns, specifically Kalk Bay, should prove well worth your while. The streets are lined with quaint shops, restaurants, and coffee shops.

Best Time to Go on a Cape of Good Hope Tour

This tour of the Cape is just as wonderful on a good winter’s day as it is any other time. In summer, it can get very hot, so be sure to bring a hat, sunscreen, and your costume if you’d like a dip in the cooling ocean.

The waiting lines for entrance into the National Parks are also usually much longer in the busier summer months (November to February). This is why we prefer spring and autumn when the weather is still lovely but the crowds have gone.

This tour is nice, it combines 3 must activities in Cape, with sufficient time to explore each of them. Although the time in Cape of good hope was very short. I wanted to explore the hill a bit more. The bus has wi-fi and charger points which is good considering that you will spend a considerable amount of time within the bus traveling.

Booking and pick-up worked as well as possible. The English speaking guide spoke a lot and was understandable. The visits worked well and we saw the penguins and then we went to Kapudden. Those who wanted could go with a guide to the mountain and the Cape of Good Hope. Nice!

My review was too long to paste here so you can check it out on Google reviews here: https://g.co/kgs/qWQp6E The short version is that we had a great time. The stops were great, crew was awesome, and views were amazing. Just wish there was more time at the stops as we felt a bit rushed. I’d recommend to bring a lunch so you don’t spend your limited time waiting for food.
