The museum is a part of the Museum of Illusions chain. It has museums in forty locations across 25 countries. The state of Florida has two museums of illusions in Miami and Orlando.
The illusion museum Miami has two floors containing forty varying exhibits spread around different rooms. There is something unique in each space, which is inspired by a myriad of things such as cartoons, fairy tales, movies, and real-life people.
There is no guided tour. At each exhibit, you will find markers on the ground indicating where to stand for each photo. And, if you need any help there are friendly staff members on hand to help you take pictures.
To get the shot just right, you may need a tripod. Luckily, you can rent a tripod from the museum for $10. There are photographers on hand to help you if you desire more professional shots. You can pay for these shots to be taken and edited.
Then there is the Smash It section, where you can decorate plates and then smash them. You can do this if you have an all-access ticket ($45), but you could also buy a separate Smash It general admission pass ($20).
