The Strat Skypod is not only home to thrilling rides but also to an internationally acclaimed restaurant called Top of the World. The award-winning cuisine is nothing to bark at. However, the 360-degree revolving dining room is the most fantastic part of this restaurant. It feels like you’re literally on a culinary journey.
Must-Haves for Strat Skypod, Las Vegas Rides:

The rides are adrenaline-inducing and amazingly thrilling. The Skypod in Vegas stands at 1,149 feet tall, and the rides are all at this height. You can get into the Big Shot, which shoots you 160 feet into the air at 45 miles per hour. If that doesn’t spark your anxiety, remember that the ride begins at 921 feet and goes up to 1,081 feet.
Insanity is pure insanity. You have to be insane to go on this ride. A giant mechanical arm stretches 64 feet over the edge of the Skypod, dangling riders over 900 feet in the air. And then there’s the rollercoaster, X-Scream.
This isn’t a rollercoaster with twists and turns. You go forward and back. However, you will be dangling weightlessly over the edge of the Skypod at 866 feet in the air before being pulled back. If none of these appeals to your daredevil nature, then you have to do the SkyJump, which is essentially zip lining off the platform of the Skypod, but with more falling.
If you’re not an adrenaline junkie and prefer to see the view from inside the Skypod, then the observation deck is the place to be. You will have a 360-degree panorama of Las Vegas without having to leave the comfort of your chair. It’s one of the tallest freestanding observation towers in the United States. They also have a wedding chapel in case you decide to get married with a beautiful view of Las Vegas.
Stratosphere Ticket Prices 2022
During the weekdays, tickets to enter the tower will range from $25 for adults and $14 for children aged 12 and under. If you’re a guest at the Stratosphere Casino, then it’s only $5. Residents of Nevada, senior citizens, and military members only pay $16.
On the weekends, the prices are a bit higher. Adults will pay $30, and children under 12 will pay $17.50. Guests of the casino will pay $10. Senior citizens, military members, and Nevada residents pay $20.
Times
The observation deck in the Stratosphere’s hours run from 10 am to 1 am daily. The rides are available daily from 2 pm to 10 pm. However, hours can differ due to weather or mechanical issues.
The SkyJump is available from Monday to Thursday between 2 pm and 10 pm and from Friday to Sunday between 12 pm and 10 pm. Again, hours can differ due to the weather.
Top of the World restaurant is open from Monday to Wednesday between 4 pm and 10 pm, and from Thursday to Sunday between 4 pm and 11 pm.
Best Time to Go
Because the Strat Skypod is an enclosed tower, it’s great to visit at any time of the year. If you want to indulge in the rides and SkyJump, visiting the Skypod between March and July will be the best time.
It’s warmer during these months, and there will be a lower chance of the rides getting shut down due to the weather. Las Vegas sees a lot of tourist activity between November and January, so try to avoid going during this time if you don’t want to stand in endless lines.

- Time of Week: Avoid going on the weekends, as the prices are higher and there will be more people.
- Time of Day: Around 2 – 4 pm. The rides only open at 2 pm, and the restaurant at 4 pm, so you can spend your time going on the rides, then grab a bite to eat before visiting the observation deck to watch the sunset.

This ticket is for thrill seekers. If you’ve ever dreamed of going on a rollercoaster that dangles off the edge of a building or just free hanging from a mechanical arm 900 feet in the air, then you need to go on the rides at the Strat Skypod.

Great view from the top. Hardly ever falls off the roof. Just kidding! Perfectly safe but kind of intense. 3 thrill rides at the top of the Strat. They will get your heart pumping. And the Strat still has free parking, bless them.
